Terms of use

1. The service

Gundo is an app for messaging, calls and stories between friends, which also lets you discover nearby shops and message them.

2. Your account

• You must be at least 16 years old.
• You create your account with a phone number that is yours.
• You are responsible for what is done from your account and from the devices you link to it.

3. What is not allowed

• Breaking the law, or helping someone else to.
• Harassing, threatening, deceiving or impersonating anyone.
• Sharing content that exploits or endangers minors.
• Sending unsolicited messages in bulk.
• Trying to access other people’s accounts, data or systems, or disrupting the service.
• Automatically collecting data from the service.

4. Your content

Your messages, photos, stories and shop pages remain yours. You only allow us to store, deliver and display them, as far as the service needs in order to work.

You confirm that you have the right to share what you post.

5. Shops and orders

• Gundo connects customers and shops. The sale is made between the customer and the shop; Gundo is neither the seller nor a party to that sale.
• An order accepted by a shop is not proof of payment.
• The verified shop badge means that supporting documents were checked. It does not guarantee the shop’s products or service.
• Listings paid for by shops are marked “Sponsored”.
• When a service is paid, its price and conditions are shown before any payment.

6. Neighbourhood alerts

Alerts are information shared between users. They are not verified by Gundo and do not replace emergency services.

7. Availability

We do our best to keep Gundo running, but cannot guarantee an uninterrupted or error-free service. The service may change, be suspended for maintenance or be discontinued.

8. Suspension

We may restrict or close an account that breaks these terms or puts other users at risk. You can stop using Gundo at any time and ask for your account to be deleted.

9. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Gundo is not liable for content posted by users, for dealings between customers and shops, or for indirect damage linked to the use of the service.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by Malian law. Disputes fall under the competent courts of Mali.

11. Changes and contact

We may change these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version. If a change is significant, we will tell you in the app.
